Green cardamom
Breakfast and tea in Sana'aThe tea that's always on the stove.
In Yemeni homes, the chai is strong, sweet and full of crushed green cardamom. It comes out with breakfast, after lunch and whenever a guest knocks. Ours is the same blend, ready for your stove.
- 1SimmerOne tablespoon per cup in water for 2 minutes.
- 2Add milkHalf water, half milk, with sugar to taste.
- 3PourSimmer 3 more minutes, strain into small glasses and share.

Pour-over

- Rinse the filter and add coffee.
- Bloom with 50 g water for 30 seconds.
- Pour the rest in slow circles.
French press
- Ratio
- 30 g to 500 g water

- Add coffee and all the water.
- Stir once and put the lid on.
- Press slowly after 4 minutes and serve.
Yemeni coffee with spice

- 2 tbsp per 8 oz

- Bring water and coffee to a gentle boil.
- Add a pinch of cardamom and ginger.
- Rest 1 minute so the grounds settle, then pour.

How fast do orders ship?
We roast weekly and ship within 48 hours of roasting. Most orders in Oregon arrive in 2 to 4 days.
How fresh is the coffee?
Every bag has its roast date printed on it. Coffee tastes best between 4 days and 4 weeks after roasting.
Do you sell ground coffee?
We sell whole bean so it stays fresh longer. If you need it ground, add a note at checkout or ask us at the market.
Can I pick up at a market?
Yes. Choose market pickup at checkout and we'll have your bags ready at our table on Saturday.
